Colleagues, friends, and family members don’t mean to be dream killers, but they often are if you share an idea too early.

You deserve to explore an idea in a supportive space where you can be fully excited by it, without judgement.

Follow your soul’s inspiration, supported by someone who sees your vision and enthusiastically cheers it.
These are the ones that don’t have yes/no answers. They invite you to reflect more deeply, imagine without censoring yourself, and consider your idea from different perspectives.
They’ll read between the lines, scan for underlying patterns, and draw attention to the unspoken assumptions and questions.
Many ideas contain contradictions, don’t fit nicely into boxes, aren’t “realistic” on face value, or are inherently complex or mysterious. This is not a problem, and rather is often the hallmark of a truly good idea.
They may use their intuition to know how to best guide you through the process – when to push you harder and when to change gears. They may have intuitive downloads about your idea itself.
Part of the fun of this process is you’ll be more in touch with your own intuition as you go along.
If you’ve naturally been drawing upon your logic, reason, and analytical side, a thought partner will intentionally do things to bring your senses, creativity, and imagination into the process. And the reverse is true, too.
When you start to feel overwhelmed, doubtful, or stressed, you’ll benefit from a partner who can clear your energy and help you regulate your nervous system.
You want to work with someone who is “all in” on making your idea the best it can be and is fully engaged in the heavy lifting of inquiry, but doesn’t push their own agenda or opinion.
This is YOUR intellectual baby, and you are the only one who gets to share it with anyone else. Anything shared in a session is 100% confidential and you retain all rights to it.
Idea exploration is some of the most fun an intellectual, innovative, influential person can have. If it’s not your idea of a good time, we probably shouldn’t work together.
Beyond the enjoyment of grappling with concepts from all angles, at the end of our time together, you’ll have clarity on your next step.
Next steps vary considerably though – it depends a lot on where you’re starting from and how long we work together. Whether it is a single session, a series where we meet regularly, or an off-site intensive.
There is one caveat I should mention. You’re ultimately responsible for the quality of your results. Your presence, attention, and focus, along with willingness to go deep, curiosity, etc. will determine what you get out of our work together.

I’m Katherine M. Sauer, Ph.D., and I love ideas in all forms – from fleeting sparks and seeds of thought, to manifestos and opinion essays, to process-based frameworks and scientific hypotheses, to visions for humanity-serving initiatives.

I’ve formally and informally done thought leadership and thought partnership my whole career. Taking ideas - my own and others' – and turning them into thoroughly vetted, well-articulated “artifacts” for personal reference or wide release has been a part of every full-time job I’ve had, as well as my consulting work, participation in think tanks and invited convenings, and research fellowships.

If you care about credentials, I have some of note. A doctorate in economics is the fanciest one. Intuitive Energy Reading is my favorite. I’ve got certificates in change leadership, yoga and meditation teaching, nutrition, and Reiki. I’ve completed my advanced executive coach training. And candidly, I’ve participated in more professional development workshops, seminars, intensives, and self-paced learning than I can remember at this point.
